MD_DA710 Dry Whole Milk - U.S. Report 23 - Released on June 08, 2023 Reported dry whole milk spot trading was quiet this week, as prices went unchanged. Some market contacts say buyers are holding off on spot market purchasing, as prices have slipped in recent weeks, and they expect potentially further dips. Milk availability is ample. Drying, though, is somewhat limited as nonfat dry milk processing is, and has been, very active. Some less-than-load (LTL) trading into feed markets has been reported more regularly in recent weeks, at prices lower than the current range. Dry whole milk market tones are quiet, with bearish underpinnings. The DMN monthly average of the mostly price series for dry whole milk during May was $2.0659, compared to $2.1000 in April.
