Weekly New Mexico Hay Summary
Week ending May 18, 2019

   Compared to last week, alfalfa hay prices steady.  Trade moderate to
active, demand good. Southeastern areas have started the first cutting.

Eastern region: Large square bales; Premium and Supreme; 230.00-245.00, 
Good quality; 215.00-230.00 del.

Baled wheat hay;  180.00-190.00 per ton delivered from out of state.

Ground Hay: 178.00.

Southeastern regions:

Small bales: Premium and Supreme 300.00 per ton loaded on truck.
 
Southern and Southwestern region:

Baled Alfalfa: Large square bales, Premium and Supreme 200.00-250.00, Good quality
180.00-200.00 delivered to dairies.

Small bales alfalfa ; Premium and Supreme quality: 9.00-11.00 per bale FOB.

Wheat hay; large bales 160.00-200.00 per ton.

Oat Hay: 160.00-180.00 per ton.

North central Region:

Baled alfalfa: NA

sale.  Quantitative factors are approximate and many factors can affect
feeding value.
