This report does not represent all animals at the sale on this date.*** Carolina Stockyards, Siler City, NC Weighted Average Auction Report Monday Aug 19, 2019 Cattle Receipts: 207 Last Week: 311 Last Year: Compared to last week, slaughter cattle were 2.00 lower with feeder cattle 1.00 to 3.00 higher. Moderate demand, buyer activity and offerings. Quality of cattle average. Slaughter cows made up 16 percent of the offering, slaughter bulls 2 percent, replacement cows 2 percent, and feeders 80 percent. The feeder supply included 25 percent steers, 52 percent heifers, and 23 percent bulls. Near 12 percent of the run weighed over 600 lbs.
