Domestic cheddar cheese spot market prices and trades have increased on various market
exchanges. Cheese production schedules in the Northeast are fairly busy. Available milk
supplies are keeping plants operating at/near capacity. Most manufacturers' inventories are
sufficient for filling near-term orders. Some plants are building inventories. Regional
retail and food service demands have been positive. In the Northeast, the wholesale cheese
prices for cheddar and Muenster moved up by $0.0050. Also, the process cheese prices
increased by $0.1100. The Grade A Swiss price is unchanged this week.
