     Cheese - Northeastern U.S.

     Report 9 - Released on February 27, 2019

     Milk production is moving up on numerous farms in the Northeast. Milk volumes are robust in
     the region, as many manufacturers are running on active schedules. Cheese makers are
     receiving heavy milk volumes. Cheddar and Italian cheese production schedules are fairly
     steady this week. Inventories are steady to building. Cheddar cheese block and barrel spot
     prices are steady to slightly moving up currently. Trading activity on the spot market is
     fairly steady this week. Northeast wholesale cheese prices for cheddar and Muenster shifted
     higher by $0.0200, but the process cheese prices moved down by $0.0100. The Grade A Swiss
     price is unchanged this week.
