Good recent export sales coupled with seasonally lower milk production helped strengthen WMP prices. Current production tends to be committed. Future commitments have already been made for some future production. Some manufacturers are being more cautious about becoming overcommitted. Australian production and exports have been slowed by lower milk production than last year. To some extent, this also affects New Zealand production.
