2013 RAISIN-TYPE GRAPE PRODUCTION FORECAST IS UP 25.5 PERCENT FROM 2012 FINAL PRODUCTION

The National Agricultural Statistics Service forecasts the 2013 California raisin-type 
variety grape production to be 2.40 million tons, up 25.5 percent from the 2012 final 
production. The August 12, 2013 forecast is based on the July Raisin Objective 
Measurement Survey.  Because California produces virtually all of the raisin-type 
grapes grown in the United States, this forecasted total represents the expected 
United States production in 2013. NASS conducted the 2013 Raisin Objective Measurement 
Survey with funding from the Raisin Administrative Committee.
